Summary

As a Mid-Level Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business objectives and technical implementation. You will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and documenting requirements, as well as facilitating communication between stakeholders and the development team. This role requires a strong understanding of software development methodologies, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs, objectives, and requirements for software development projects.
  • Conduct requirements gathering sessions, workshops, and interviews to elicit and document functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Analyze and prioritize requirements, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
  • Create clear and comprehensive requirement documents, user stories, use cases, process flows, and other artifacts as needed.
  • Work closely with the development team to clarify requirements, provide guidance, and ensure that deliverables meet business expectations.
  • Participate in project planning, sprint grooming, and review meetings, providing valuable insights and recommendations.
  • Perform impact analysis and risk assessment to identify potential issues and dependencies.
  • Collaborate with QA team to develop test cases and ensure thorough testing of software applications.
  • Support stakeholders during user acceptance testing (UAT) and assist in resolving any issues or discrepancies.
  • Continuously monitor and communicate project status, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders and project leadership.

Education, Certifications, and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within the software development industry.
  • Solid understanding of software development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
  • Proficiency in requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with requirement management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering software development projects on time and within budget.
  • Relevant certifications such as CBAP, IIBA-AAC, or similar (preferred but not required)
