Business Analyst (Insurance Industry)

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Business Analyst to join our team in establishing and managing a Data Lakehouse. This role combines technical expertise with business acumen, acting as a junior product owner in managing a squad.

Work location will be in Taguig, Metro Manila, Philippines. It will be a hybrid work arrangement, with 2x a week RTO (Return to Office).
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a junior product owner, managing a squad in the development and implementation of the Data Lakehouse
- Facilitate workshops and capture both functional and detailed technical requirements
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve and standardize metrics and business definitions
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses and communicate benefits of feature releases and sprint completions
- Synthesize and manage conflicting requirements from various stakeholders
- Conduct product demos and provide regular updates to business stakeholders
- Translate business questions into data requirements, including storage and capture specifications
- Perform wireframing of reports and dashboards in Tableau
- Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and review test cases
- Ensure adherence to data governance standards, metadata management, and reference data management principles
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Management Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in business analysis, preferably in data-driven environments
- Strong background in sales, marketing, Customer Relationship Management, and client experience
- Proficiency in Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Experience in metadata management, reference data management, and data governance
- Knowledge of Edward Tufte’s Design Principles
- Familiarity with data lineage concepts and ability to link data flows to processes
- Proficiency in Tableau for report and dashboard wireframing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Experience in facilitating workshops and managing stakeholder relationships
- Ability to work in a hybrid setup (office and remote)
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA)
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience in data visualization and business intelligence tools
- Knowledge of SQL and data modeling concepts
- Familiarity with data integration and ETL processes
- Familiarity with Salesforce and Digital Marketing Tools
