Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed analysis to understand and document business unit needs, objectives, and requirements, focusing on core banking functionality.
- Perform comprehensive assessments to bridge the gap between current and desired processes and systems, identifying root causes.
- Define project scope, including security requirements, and coordinate cost/benefit analyses, ensuring the involvement of relevant IT departments.
- Integrate security measures into core banking systems, aligning them with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with security experts to ensure the secure operation of core banking systems, including access controls, data encryption, and risk mitigation.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, business unit leaders, and internal technical support teams to provide project management services that address both core banking functionality and security considerations.
- Act as a trusted advisor in core banking system-related matters, offering guidance and expertise.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with end users and technical teams to collect, evaluate, and synthesize data and information from various sources, with a specific focus on core banking functionality requirements.
- Resolve conflicts and differentiate between actual and required user needs, ensuring that core banking systems operate seamlessly.
- Conduct comprehensive impact analyses of new products, systems, upgrades, and changes within departmental/functional areas, ensuring their integration with core banking systems.
- Evaluate systems and business processes for feasibility, particularly in the context of core banking operations.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Understanding of core banking functionality, including experience with core banking systems and their architecture.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in integrating security measures into core banking systems, complying with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, business unit leaders and internal technical support teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly in the context of core banking system functionality.
- Track record of successful collaboration with technical teams to architect, design, build and implement application integrations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex technical concepts, provide guidance in core banking system-related matters.
Education, Certifications, and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field: Computer Science, IT or related discipline
- Minimum 6 years’ experience as Core Banking SME with focus on Core Banking systems, security, integration, MIS/reporting, and enterprise architecture.
