GPP Project Manager
Summary
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage the delivery of banking projects, ensuring that scope, budget, schedule, and quality of deliverables are effectively maintained. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project lifecycle management, cross-functional team coordination, and stakeholder engagement.
This role requires strategic leadership, excellent problem-solving skills, and expertise in banking, IT governance, and regulatory compliance. The Project Manager will play a key role in driving project success by managing risks, issues, and dependencies while ensuring alignment with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project lifecycle from initiation to closure across one or more business lines.
- Form and coordinate cross-functional project teams (Business, Technical, Operations, Legal, Procurement, etc.).
- Develop and manage project scope, objectives, timelines, budgets, and resources.
- Prepare project charters, business cases, and obtain necessary approvals for funding.
- Identify, track, and manage project tasks to ensure successful execution and delivery.
- Implement control and reporting structures for project risk and change management, following governance methods and standard processes.
- Conduct post-mortem reviews, CSAT surveys, and team performance appraisals.
- Consult with business partners and stakeholders to define project requirements and deliverables.
- Create and deliver presentations to top management on project goals, plans, and progress.
- Oversee vendor sourcing, selection, and management to ensure successful implementation.
- Ensure that infrastructure and applications comply with IT standards, policies, and financial regulations (e.g., Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, AMLA Council).
- Develop and implement project communication plans for seamless coordination across teams.
- Define and monitor key project constraints, risks, and issues.
- Develop and enforce project-level processes, procedures, and performance metrics.
- Conduct status reviews with project teams, account managers, and customers regularly.
- Ensure all deliverables meet regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Maintain a harmonious working relationship with all project team members and stakeholders.
- Influence and negotiate with senior management to ensure project success.
- Work independently while fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Drive innovation and efficiency, ensuring that projects achieve more with less.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree relevant to the job.
- 5+ years of experience in project management, handling projects of varying complexities.
- Experience in the banking industry is preferred but not required.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects in parallel.
- Advanced project management knowledge; PMP or Prince2 Certification is preferred but not required.
- Agile, SCRUM, or ITIL certification is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Expertise in cost management, budgeting, forecasting, business case development, and contracts.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage all levels of stakeholders.
- Ability to build relationships with peers and higher-level management.
- Ability to analyze and communicate complex issues effectively.
- Highly self-motivated, innovative, and goal-oriented.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with teams on critical projects.
- Strong negotiation and leadership skills to influence senior management.
