GPP Test Manager
Summary
We are seeking an experienced Test Manager – Payments Technology to lead and manage end-to-end test engagements for Payments solutions. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in Payments Technology testing, with at least 4 years in a Test Manager or Technical Lead role, overseeing the full application development lifecycle.
This role requires deep expertise in global payments processing (SWIFT, ISO 20022, RTP, RTGS, ACH, etc.), hands-on experience in Finastra GPP Fusion product testing, and proficiency in test automation frameworks. The candidate must be able to manage large-scale testing engagements, work across global teams, and drive quality assurance initiatives within a multi-shore model.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end IT test delivery for functional and non-functional testing across Payments technology projects.
- Manage testing engagements, ensuring quality assurance for Payments solutions like Finastra GPP, FIS OPF, Volante VolPay.
- Define and implement test strategies, execution plans, and defect management processes.
- Lead test automation framework development using QTP, LISA, Tosca, Robot Framework, or similar tools.
- Manage NFR (Non-Functional Requirements) test management and oversee test environment setup and management.
- Hands-on experience with Payments Hub, Clearing and Settlement, Automated Clearing House (ACH) programs.
- Strong knowledge of Global Payments Processing, including SWIFT, ISO 20022, RTP, RTGS, ACH.
- Work closely with Business Analysts to define and validate business requirements.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and evolving regulatory requirements in the banking domain.
- Take ownership of new projects or transition existing projects seamlessly.
- Develop project estimations, planning, scheduling, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies.
- Work in multi-shore models, managing global testing teams across different time zones.
- Lead stakeholder management, scope management, and risk monitoring to ensure smooth execution.
- Collaborate with development managers to ensure on-time, high-quality software delivery.
- Support RFI/RFP processes and sales initiatives for Payments testing solutions.
- Lead and mentor teams of test engineers, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Implement best practices in test management, software quality assurance, and project governance.
- Establish and manage SharePoint sites for documentation and knowledge sharing.
- Develop and maintain regional and functional dashboards for test tracking and reporting.
- Work with Shared Services Organizations to align test management approaches.
- Coordinate the development and implementation of project management best practices to enhance efficiency.
- Plan and monitor financial budgets, forecasting, and project metrics to measure health and progress.
- Ensure management reporting, including task/milestone tracking, resource planning, risk assessment, and WSR.
- Provide regular project-level tracking and reporting at both program and stakeholder levels.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in Payments Technology testing at an IT company.
- At least 4 years in a Test Manager or Technical Lead role, managing full lifecycle application development.
- Hands-on expertise with Finastra GPP (Classic, SP, or Fusion) testing.
- Strong knowledge of Payments Processing, Clearing & Settlement (SWIFT, ISO 20022, RTP, RTGS, ACH, etc.).
- 6+ years of project management (PM) experience in a global, multi-shore testing environment.
- Proficiency in Test Automation Tools (QTP, LISA, Tosca, Robot Framework, etc.).
- Experience managing projects across Legacy (Mainframe) and Open Systems (.NET, Java, Unix, Linux) platforms.
- Expertise in SDLC methodologies (Agile & Waterfall) and Test Management processes.
- Proficiency in HPQC, JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft Office Project (for tracking and reporting).
- Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts to business stakeholders.
- Ability to handle ambiguity and define approaches to resolve unstructured issues.
