Release and Control Lead
Summary
The Release and Control Lead will be responsible for managing the release lifecycle, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating releases across multiple environments. This role involves overseeing configuration management, version control, deployment automation, and infrastructure management. The ideal candidate will also handle change management, incident management, and database management to ensure high system availability and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the release management process, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating software releases.
- Implement and maintain configuration management practices to ensure system consistency and integrity.
- Manage version control systems and processes to track and control changes to software and configurations.
- Automate deployment processes to enhance efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Manage infrastructure to ensure that it supports the software releases effectively and efficiently.
- Handle database management tasks to ensure the stability and performance of databases.
- Coordinate and execute change management processes to control the lifecycle of changes in the system.
- Develop and maintain release plans and ensure that releases meet business requirements and quality standards.
- Address and resolve incidents related to releases and deployments, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with more than 10 years of experience
- Proven experience in release management, configuration management, and version control.
- Strong background in deployment automation and infrastructure management.
- Experience with database management and related tools.
- Familiarity with change management processes and best practices.
- Knowledge of incident management and problem-solving techniques.
- Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN) and deployment automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible).
- Background in Core Banking Systems is a huge plus
- Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
