SAP QM Functional Analyst
Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP Quality Management (QM) Consultant to lead and support SAP QM implementations, rollouts, and enhancements. The ideal candidate will have 6 to 9 years of hands-on experience in designing, configuring, and implementing SAP QM solutions, with expertise in inspection processes, quality notifications, batch management, and integration with MM, PP, SD, PM, and WM.
This role requires a deep understanding of end-to-end SAP QM processes, experience in at least three full-cycle SAP QM implementation or rollout projects, and the ability to lead a team of consultants while working cross-functionally with business users and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute SAP QM implementations, rollouts, and enhancements across procurement, manufacturing, and returns/complaints processes.
- Configure and support inspection processes, including Goods Receipt Inspection, In-Process Inspection, Final Inspection, Stock Transfer Inspection, and Recurring Inspection.
- Manage Batch Classification, Batch Management, and Quality Info Records.
- Oversee Quality Notifications for internal problems, vendor defects, and customer complaints, leveraging Action Box and Function Modules to trigger workflows.
- Handle Quality Certificates (Inbound & Outbound) and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Provide end-to-end support for incident resolution, service requests, and enhancement requests related to SAP QM.
- Ensure seamless SAP QM integration with MM, PP, SD, PM, and WM modules.
- Analyze and optimize Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) through effective QM strategies.
- Support Engineering Change Management, Document Management, and S/4HANA transformations (preferred).
- Utilize Solution Manager, ARIS, MS Visio, and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools to support project execution.
- Work with handling unit management/EWM for efficient warehouse and logistics processes (preferred).
- Develop and execute test plans related to SAP QM processes.
- Prepare and review QM Functional Design Specifications to ensure clear technical documentation.
- Lead cut-over planning and hyper-care support during project go-lives.
- Support business users in creating training documents during integration testing.
- Provide ongoing training and knowledge transfer to end-users and project teams.
- Lead and mentor a small team of 3 to 5 SAP QM consultants across multiple locations.
- Foster collaboration across cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with business and IT stakeholders.
- Drive team commitment and effective communication within a hybrid work setup.
Qualifications
- 6 to 9 years of hands-on experience in SAP Quality Management (QM), including configuration and implementation.
- At least 3 full-cycle SAP QM implementation/rollout projects with a full scope (procurement to returns/complaints).
- Strong expertise in inspection lot approval, results recording, defects recording, and usage decision with digital signatures.
- Experience with batch classification, batch management, and quality notifications.
- Deep understanding of SAP QM integration with MM, PP, SD, PM, and WM.
- Ability to lead a team of 3 to 5 consultants across multiple locations.
- Strong skills in SAP QM Functional Design Specifications, test execution, cut-over planning, and hyper-care production support.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms.
- Strong cross-functional project team experience with the ability to drive collaboration and alignment.
- Experience with Engineering Change Management, Document Management, and S/4HANA is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with Solution Manager, ARIS, MS Visio, and ALM is an added advantage.
- Experience with SAP QM and Handling Unit Management/EWM is a plus.
