Senior SAP FICO Consultant (S/4HANA)
Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior SAP FICO Consultant with expertise in S/4HANA and proven experience in end-to-end implementation of SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules. This role requires an individual who can manage and execute SAP FICO projects across the full lifecycle, from requirements gathering to post-implementation support, ensuring the effective integration of finance and controlling processes in an SAP S/4HANA environment.
As a Senior SAP FICO Consultant, you will collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and project managers to drive financial process improvements, deliver optimal solutions, and ensure the smooth transition to SAP S/4HANA.
Key Responsibilities
- Subject Matter Expert (SME):
- Expert-level Knowledge: Serve as the primary SME for the SAP FICO module in S/4HANA, providing expert guidance to both business users and technical teams on functional design and configuration.
- End-to-End SAP FICO Implementation:
- Lead and execute the implementation of SAP FICO modules (FI/CO) in an S/4HANA environment, covering project phases such as blueprinting, configuration, testing, training, and go-live.
- Conduct fit-gap analysis, map business processes, and design solutions that meet both functional and technical requirements.
- Oversee data migration activities, ensuring accurate transfer of financial data from legacy systems to SAP S/4HANA.
- Provide leadership throughout all phases of the project lifecycle and manage project deliverables.
- System Configuration & Customization:
- Configure SAP FI and CO modules, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), Bank Accounting, Cost Centers, Profit Centers, Internal Orders, and Profitability Analysis (CO-PA).
- Work with business users and functional teams to customize the system to meet specific business requirements.
- Testing & Documentation:
- Develop test scenarios, scripts, and plans for unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Support users during testing phases, troubleshoot issues, and ensure successful completion of all tests.
- Create detailed documentation for configurations, processes, and user guides.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with business stakeholders, key users, and IT teams to ensure alignment of business and technical requirements.
- Offer strategic guidance on best practices for financial processes, reporting, and controlling in SAP.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay up to date with new developments and enhancements in SAP S/4HANA Finance.
- Propose improvements to existing financial systems and processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Go-Live and Post-Go-Live Support:
- Go-Live Support: Provide critical support during the Go-Live phase, including troubleshooting, issue resolution, and user support to ensure the system operates as expected post-implementation.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Experience:
- Minimum 8 – 10 years of experience in SAP FICO consulting, with at least 2-3 full-cycle implementations of SAP S/4HANA, covering Finance and Controlling modules.
- Proven experience in end-to-end implementation of SAP FICO in S/4HANA, from initial design and configuration to go-live and support.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in configuring SAP FI and CO modules (e.g., General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Asset Accounting, Cost Centers, Profit Centers, Profitability Analysis).
- Deep knowledge of S/4HANA Finance capabilities, including Universal Journal, Central Finance, and New GL.
- Familiarity with SAP Fiori and its applications in S/4HANA.
- Project Management:
- Experience in managing SAP FICO implementation projects, including project planning, resource management, and risk management.
