Test Manager
Summary
The Test Manager will oversee the development and execution of test strategies and plans across various types of testing including automation, integration, regression & performance, security, and database testing. This role requires strong leadership to manage the testing team, ensure effective defect management, and collaborate with development and QA teams to achieve excellence in software quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the test engineering team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
- Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans that align with project requirements and organizational goals.
- Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of automated test frameworks and scripts to enhance testing efficiency.
- Manage the defect management process, ensuring timely identification, tracking, and resolution of issues.
- Direct and coordinate integration testing to verify seamless interaction between system components.
- Supervise regression & performance testing to evaluate application stability, scalability, and responsiveness under various conditions.
- Implement and manage security testing practices to safeguard applications against vulnerabilities and compliance issues.
- Oversee database testing to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and ensure that testing aligns with business objectives.
- Monitor testing progress, generate reports, and present findings to stakeholders, providing actionable recommendations for improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with more than 10 years of relevant experience.
- Understanding of Core Banking System is a mandatory requirement.
- Strong background in developing and executing test strategies and plans.
- Expertise in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
- Experience with defect management and tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
- Comprehensive knowledge of integration, performance, security, and database testing.
- Proficiency in SQL and database management for effective data validation.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
