The Opportunity.
You will be working as a software development engineer working in DevOps team handling from dev to operations, by applying a software engineering mindset to develop robust solutions for a healthy and reliable production environment.
Your core responsibilities include:
- Building creative and dependable solutions for operations’ problems, interruptions & service requests.
- Implement software standards while facilitating an agile approach and learning culture.
- Practice SRE principals like Agile methodology, DevOps, Blameless Postmortems etc. to ensure constant improvement and knowledge buildup.
The Role.
Position Responsibilities
- As a Devops Engineer, with the help of your Engineering mindset, identify/prioritize production issues and develop the solution to resolve them with end to end operability.
- Triage and troubleshoot service impacting events (like batch job failures, production fallouts, health check of application servers, customer reported anomalies) for an end to end resolution, with zero or right touch solutions.
- Tackle complex development, automation and business process problems with regular update to stake holders.
- Work with several applications teams and their interfaces to establish the right monitoring, alerting strategy accompanied with selfheal/auto heal.
- Identify and Automate repeatable manual tasks via Agentic AI in operations and provide software solutions for same.
- Identify and Fix the root cause for the production issues.
- Work with product teams to define application hardening and define opportunities for making product resilient in upcoming versions.
- Participate and contribute in the application knowledge buildup programs for the unit and be an active contributor to create operational and internal tools.
The Expertise.
Requirements
- 4-6 years of working knowledge on Java/ J2EE, SQL, PL/SQL, Unix, MERN, GitHub, CI/CD, public Cloud and Agentic AI
- Working knowledge of integrated applications with client server framework
- Experience of implementing automation/eliminating manual tasks for continuous improvement
- Experience with development, defect fixing, categorization, quick resolution for incidents, running incident post-mortems.
- Solid understanding of deployment processes
- Good Understanding of Dev Ops and Agile processes
- Understanding of RPA, AI and ML is a plus
- Knowledge/Experience of client applications is a plus
