As a Senior Electronics Design Engineer, you will lead the design and development of power electronic products, ensuring robust performance from requirements through delivery. You will apply deep expertise in semiconductor devices, circuit design, and system integration to deliver reliable solutions for complex applications.
What You’ll Do and How You’ll Succeed
- Lead end‑to‑end power electronic product design and development projects.
- Apply strong knowledge of semiconductor switches (MOSFET, IGBT), gate drivers, passive components, ADC/DAC, filters, connectors, PCBs, parasitic and magnetic components.
- Design and analyse power converters (AC‑DC, DC‑DC, DC‑AC, AC‑AC).
- Integrate sensors such as position, temperature, gyro, RTD, current sensors, resolvers, and motor encoders, as well as solenoids, BLDC/PMSM motors, and electronic loads.
- Develop signal conditioning circuits including op‑amps, filters, and ADC front ends.
- Update schematics using Mentor Graphics and review PCB layouts.
- Perform power estimations, thermal management design, and assess EMI/EMC implications (DO‑160, MIL‑STD‑461/704).
- Implement and validate serial protocols such as CAN, I2C, SPI, and UART.
- Use lab test equipment including DMMs, oscilloscopes, and data loggers for verification.
- Write and execute test plans, procedures, and reports.
- Conduct board bring‑up and design verification testing (DVT).
- Contribute to motor controller development using high‑performance microcontrollers or FPGA (preferred).
