As a Business Analyst for Core Banking, you will support business analysis activities across core banking initiatives within a project‑based transformation environment. You will work across key banking domains to analyse requirements, evaluate processes, and support solution delivery that improves operational efficiency, customer experience, and regulatory compliance.
What You’ll Do and How You’ll Succeed
Requirements Gathering
- Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document requirements across core banking domains including CASA, credit, clearing and payments, accounting, and data reconciliation.
- Ensure requirements are clear, structured, and aligned with business objectives.
Process Analysis
- Evaluate existing business processes and workflows.
- Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimisation.
- Support initiatives to improve operational efficiency and customer outcomes.
Data Analysis
- Perform data analysis to support business decision making.
- Use analytical techniques and tools to validate data accuracy and integrity.
Regulatory Compliance
- Support alignment of processes and solutions with applicable banking regulations and standards.
- Ensure non‑financial risk and operational risk considerations are incorporated into requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Facilitate discussions with cross functional teams including IT, operations, and compliance.
- Maintain alignment on scope, priorities, and deliverables.
- Communicate requirements clearly to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Solution Design Support
- Work closely with IT teams to support solution design activities.
- Ensure proposed solutions are aligned with defined business requirements.
Testing and Validation
- Develop test cases and test scenarios.
- Support testing activities to confirm solutions meet business needs.
Documentation
- Create and maintain core documentation including business requirements, process maps, and user guides.
Training and Support
- Support end users during adoption of new systems and processes.
- Assist with transition activities to ensure smooth implementation.

Experience
- You have four to seven years of experience as a Business Analyst within the banking sector.
- You have experience in one or more of the following domains: CASA, credit, clearing and payments, finance and accounting, data reconciliation, or non‑financial risk.
Technical Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, information technology, or a related field.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, or Tableau.
- Exposure to core banking systems and platforms.
- Experience supporting transformation or system implementation projects is preferred.
- Familiarity with banking software and systems is an advantage.
