As a SAS Developer, you will design, develop, and optimise SAS programs to support data management, statistical analysis, and business intelligence initiatives. You will work with large datasets, streamline workflows, and deliver insights that drive business decisions, while ensuring data quality and compliance.
What You’ll Do and How You’ll Succeed
- Develop, modify, and optimise SAS programs for data analysis, reporting, and visualisation.
- Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from multiple sources into SAS environments.
- Conduct statistical analysis, predictive modelling, and machine learning using SAS.
- Collaborate with business teams to understand requirements and deliver data‑driven solutions.
- Develop and maintain SAS‑based dashboards and reports.
- Ensure data quality, accuracy, and compliance with organisational standards.
- Optimise SAS processes for efficiency and performance.
- Provide support and training on SAS best practices and analytics.
- Troubleshoot and fix defects, supporting maintenance activities.
- Occasionally provide support over weekends and after hours.

Experience
- You have at least 3 years of hands‑on SAS programming experience.
- You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- You have experience with SAS Visual Investigator, SAS Macros, SAS SQL, SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Viya (3.5/4.0), SAS Data Integration Studio, and SAS 9 Programming.
- You have exposure to Python programming.
- You are familiar with database management systems such as SQL, Oracle, MongoDB, or Hadoop.
- You have experience with CI/CD pipelines and production deployments.
Technical Expertise
- You are skilled in data manipulation, cleansing, and validation.
- You are experienced in statistical modelling, regression analysis, and machine learning using SAS.
- You can analyse complex datasets and provide actionable insights.
- You are familiar with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or SAS Visual Analytics.
