As a Test Engineer, you will conduct hands‑on testing to validate that software features meet functional, performance, and security requirements. Working under the guidance of the Test Lead, you will design and execute test cases, identify defects, and collaborate with developers to ensure reliable releases during the one‑year testing engagement.
What You’ll Do and How You’ll Succeed
- Develop and execute tests: Create detailed test plans, cases, and scripts based on software requirements and user stories. Execute functional, regression, integration, and system tests using manual and automated methods.
- Identify and track defects: Document and track defects using bug‑tracking tools such as JIRA or Bugzilla. Collaborate with developers to reproduce issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and verify fixes.
- Maintain automation scripts: Develop and maintain automated test scripts to improve efficiency and repeatability. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and monitor execution.
- Perform performance and security testing: Conduct load, stress, and performance tests to ensure applications can handle expected workloads using tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner. Support security testing and data integrity checks where required.
- Document and report results: Maintain test documentation, including test cases, scripts, and data. Communicate test results, coverage, and quality metrics to the Test Lead and stakeholders.
- Continuous improvement: Participate in retrospectives and contribute ideas to improve testing processes and tools. Stay up‑to‑date with new testing practices and technologies.

Experience
- You have two to five years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
- You have experience in both manual and automated testing.
Technical Expertise
- You understand software testing methodologies.
- You have hands‑on experience with test automation tools (Selenium, TestNG).
- You are proficient in scripting languages such as Python or Java.
- You are familiar with bug‑tracking and test‑management tools.
- You have knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner) and SQL for data verification.
