As a Data Engineer, you will support ongoing and upcoming Data & Analytics initiatives by designing, building, and maintaining Azure‑based data marts and ETL pipelines. You will collaborate closely with business and technical teams to translate requirements into scalable data solutions, automate ETL processes, and deliver analytics‑ready datasets, with strong preference for SAP and Snowflake experience.
What You’ll Do and How You’ll Succeed
Stakeholder & Requirements Engagement
- Participate in client discussions to understand business rules, ETL specifications, transformation logic, and reporting requirements.
- Translate business requirements into clear and scalable technical data design specifications.
Data Architecture & Design
- Perform data design activities to support Azure‑based data mart development.
- Conduct data mapping exercises to ensure accurate transformation and integration of source system data.
ETL Development & Automation
- Develop and automate ETL jobs using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Logic Apps.
- Build scalable and reusable ETL pipelines that produce report‑ready data marts.
Reporting & Dashboard Development
- Develop ETL jobs and support the creation of dashboards and reports based on defined business requirements.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and readiness for analytics consumption.
Documentation & Knowledge Transfer
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, data flows, and technical artefacts.
- Support structured handover and knowledge transfer activities with client teams.

Experience
- You have proven experience as a Data Engineer in Azure‑based environments.
- You have experience in data mapping, data mart design, and building ETL and report‑ready datasets.
- Experience working with SAP data sources and Snowflake is preferred.
Technical Expertise
- You have hands‑on expertise with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Logic Apps.
- You bring strong SQL and data transformation skills.
- You are skilled in data modelling, ETL automation, and optimisation.
