As the Head of Operations, you will act as a strategic partner to the Business Head, overseeing all core back‑office and operational support functions. You will ensure that commercial activities are supported by a robust, efficient, and premium‑quality operational backbone, driving excellence across supply chain, customer service, IT, HR, and logistics.
What You’ll Do and How You’ll Succeed
Strategic Leadership & Execution
- Partner with the Business Head to oversee back‑office operations including after‑sales service, call centre, supply chain, warehousing, logistics, new store openings, IT, and HR.
- Develop and execute annual operational plans and budgets to support commercial objectives and growth targets.
Operational Excellence & Customer Experience
- Drive efficiency and excellence across operational support functions.
- Ensure a seamless, premium customer experience through effective management of after‑sales service and call centre operations.
- Optimise supply chain and warehousing, including inventory management and last‑mile logistics.
- Implement and manage the capsule recycling programme to meet sustainability goals.
- Lead operational execution of new store openings, ensuring timelines, budgets, and brand standards are met.
Cross‑Functional Back‑Office Management
- Manage operational budgets, control costs, and oversee cash flow related to supply chain and logistics.
- Streamline HR processes for talent acquisition, onboarding, and performance management.
- Ensure robust IT systems and infrastructure to support operations, e‑commerce logistics, and growth.
Team Management & Development
- Build and lead a high‑performing team across operational functions.
- Collaborate with teams to develop and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for consistency and quality.
Governance & Stakeholder Management
- Set operational standards and update SOPs for stock handling, e‑commerce logistics, forecasting, legal and regulatory processes, and audit compliance.
- Maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders, including brand principals and corporate teams, to ensure strategic alignment.
We’d Love to Hear From You If…
Experience
- You have at least 15 years of senior management experience managing multi‑disciplinary back‑office operations for premium consumer goods or retail brands in India.
Technical Expertise
- You hold a bachelor’s degree or higher from a leading university or business school; an MBA is preferred.
- You have a proven track record in supply chain management, customer service operations, and logistics.
- You are skilled in inventory management and operational budget control.
