As the Lead Oracle Database Administrator, you will conduct deep technical analysis of Oracle 10g or comparable legacy Oracle database environments operating in live production. You will validate operational posture, analyse workload behaviour, and assess the reliability and stability of mission-critical enterprise database layers.

- Perform technical assessments of Oracle 10g or comparable legacy Oracle database environments in production.
- Conduct locking and contention analysis to evaluate workload efficiency.
- Characterise SQL workloads to understand performance behaviour.
- Validate RMAN-based backup and recovery configurations to ensure resilience.
- Review patch application and change management practices for compliance and stability.
- Assess capacity monitoring practices and uptime management mechanisms within the database environment.

Experience
- You have at least seven years of hands-on experience managing Oracle 10g or comparable legacy Oracle database environments in live production, or equivalent enterprise assessment experience of similar scope and complexity.
- You have direct operational ownership in production environments (advisory only roles are not considered equivalent).
Technical Expertise
- You are experienced in locking and contention analysis.
- You are skilled in SQL workload characterisation.
- You have validated RMAN-based backup and recovery configurations.
- You have managed patch application and change management processes.
- You have assessed capacity monitoring and uptime management practices.
