As an OpenShift & Keycloak Engineer, you will design and implement secure Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions that enable seamless authentication and authorisation across enterprise platforms. You will deploy and manage Keycloak instances on OpenShift, integrate applications and microservices, and ensure IAM services are robust, scalable, and aligned with business requirements.
What You’ll Do and How You’ll Succeed
- Design and implement IAM solutions including Single SignOn (SSO), LDAP/AD federation, and multifactor authentication.
- Configure and troubleshoot authentication and authorisation flows using OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and SAML.
- Deploy and manage Keycloak or Red Hat build of Keycloak (RHSSO) on OpenShift using Operators, Helm, or Infrastructure as Code tools such as Ansible or Terraform.
- Integrate applications and microservices with Keycloak, managing clients, realms, roles, and scopes for secure access.
- Monitor IAM service health, performance, and capacity with Prometheus and Grafana, contributing to incident response and resolution.
- Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to deliver reliable IAM platforms that meet organisational needs.

Experience
- You have at least 5 years of deploying and managing Red Hat OpenShift in production environments.
Technical Expertise
- You have hands-on expertise with Keycloak or Red Hat build of Keycloak architecture, configuration, and operation.
- You understand containerisation technologies such as Docker or Podman and microservices architecture.
- You are proficient in scripting and automation with Python, Bash, or Go.
- You have experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible) and GitOps principles.
- You are knowledgeable in networking, security protocols (TLS/certificates), and Linux administration.
