As a Power Electronics Design Senior Engineer, you will lead the design and development of advanced power electronic products, applying strong fundamentals in semiconductor devices, circuit design, and system integration. You will take ownership from requirements through delivery, ensuring reliable performance and compliance with industry standards.
What You’ll Do and How You’ll Succeed
- Lead power electronic product design and development projects from concept to delivery.
- Apply expertise in semiconductor switches (MOSFET, IGBT), gate drivers, passive components, ADC/DAC, filters, connectors, PCBs, parasitic and magnetic components.
- Design and analyse power converters (AC‑DC, DC‑DC, DC‑AC, AC‑AC).
- Integrate sensors such as position and temperature sensors, solenoids, BLDC/PMSM motors, electronic loads, and dynamometers.
- Perform power estimations and design thermal management solutions, assessing EMI/EMC implications.
- Implement and validate serial protocols including CAN, I2C, SPI, and UART.
- Use lab test equipment such as DMMs, oscilloscopes, and data loggers for verification.
- Write and execute test plans, procedures, and reports.
- Conduct board bring‑up and design verification testing (DVT).
- Contribute to motor controller development using high‑performance microcontrollers or FPGA (preferred).

Experience
- You have 7–10 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electricals, Instrumentation, or Communications, OR 5–8 years of relevant experience with an advanced degree.
- You have proven experience leading electronic product design and development projects.
Technical Expertise
- You have strong fundamentals in analogue and digital circuits, semiconductor devices, and magnetic components.
- You are experienced in power converter design and analysis.
- You are proficient in power estimation, thermal management, and EMI/EMC compliance.
- You are familiar with sensors, motors, and electronic loads.
- You are skilled in serial communication protocols and hardware interfacing.
- You are proficient in using lab equipment for testing and validation.
- You have experience in motor controller development using microcontrollers or FPGA (advantage).
