As a SAS Developer, you will build, configure, and maintain SAS IFRS17 components, data pipelines, and calculation logic. You will work with large datasets, implement SAS based ETL processes, and resolve calculation or processing issues within a controlled and regulated environment.
What You’ll Do and How You’ll Succeed
- Develop, configure, and maintain SAS IFRS17 components and calculation logic.
- Build, optimise, and maintain SAS data pipelines for financial and insurance datasets.
- Develop and maintain Base SAS programs, macros, and procedures to support reporting and calculation requirements.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve calculation and data processing issues.
- Optimise large dataset processing for performance and scalability.
- Ensure all development and processing activities comply with controlled and regulated environments, including audit and validation requirements.
- Collaborate with business analysts, actuaries, and IT teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.

Experience
- You have 4 to 8 years of relevant SAS development experience, preferably in insurance or financial services.
Technical Expertise
- Strong SAS programming skills across Base SAS, SAS Macros, and SAS Procedures.
- Experience with SAS Data Integration or ETL.
- Proven ability to process and optimise large datasets efficiently.
- Strong problem solving skills for debugging and resolving calculation issues.
- Experience working with financial services or insurance data is preferred.
- Familiarity with controlled or regulated environments involving audit, validation, or compliance.
- Familiarity with version control systems and enterprise development lifecycles is an advantage.
- Experience with IFRS17 implementation or actuarial calculation pipelines is a plus.
