As a Test Lead, you will guide the testing efforts for the client’s short‑term software delivery life‑cycle projects, ensuring that releases meet quality standards and contractual service‑level agreements. You will oversee the end‑to‑end testing process – from planning and strategy to execution and reporting – while mentoring test engineers and collaborating closely with development teams and stakeholders.
What You’ll Do and How You’ll Succeed
- Audit and strategy development: Assess existing testing processes, identify bottlenecks, and develop balanced manual and automation test strategies that align with project requirements. Define the scope and objectives of testing activities and ensure adequate coverage through well‑structured plans.
- Establish QA standards and metrics: Define bug‑reporting formats, test templates, and workflows for manual and automated testing. Set KPIs (defect leakage, regression, automation coverage) and track them to provide visibility of quality status and risks.
- Team leadership and coordination: Organise workloads and assign responsibilities based on individual strengths. Coach and mentor test engineers, review test documentation, and ensure adherence to quality standards. Facilitate sync‑ups and foster continuous learning.
- Test development and execution oversight: Oversee the creation and execution of manual and automated test cases. Prioritise and drive bug resolution where needed. Ensure epics, stories, and acceptance criteria are adequately tested to meet SLA and performance objectives.
- Stakeholder communication and reporting: Act as the primary point of contact for QA activities. Communicate test findings, risks, and release readiness to developers, product managers, and client representatives. Deliver weekly/monthly status reports, SLA dashboards, and release causal analysis.
- Process improvement and tool adoption: Continuously refine testing processes and standards. Evaluate new tools and technologies and implement those that enhance efficiency. Ensure proper documentation and knowledge sharing.

Experience
- You have five or more years of experience in software quality assurance.
- You have at least two years in a leadership role, overseeing QA/test teams in Agile or DevOps environments.
Technical Expertise
- You are adept at developing test plans and managing manual and automated test execution.
- You are experienced with bug‑tracking and test‑management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
- You understand testing methodologies (functional, regression, integration).
- You have experience with automation frameworks (Selenium, JUnit) and CI/CD pipelines.
